Important things to consider when planning a kitchen renovation include: What you want, what you need and of course what you can afford. When budgeting for a kitchen the major costs include the cabinets, benchtops, appliances, splashbacks and all the services of required trades people. The finishes in your kitchen will greatly affect your budget, for example choosing stone benchtops vs laminated benchtops or choosing laminated cupboard doors vs painted doors. The types of finishes you choose can also impact to the time it takes to complete your kitchen renovation. For example in the case of selecting stone surfaces Stone Masons refuse to fabricate these benchtops prior to the installation of your cabinets and associated benchtop templates (with appropriate appliance cut outs). This is because most houses are not square or plumb and mainly due to the considerable investment in materials (natural stone cannot be successfully trimmed or added to after cutting) and as such these fabricated tops are often not completed for up to three weeks after your cabinets were first installed.
We present a variety of styles and finishes including: Laminates (square edged which feature ABS high impact edges & round edged - also known as post formed), Timber Veneers, Vinyl Wrap (Vacuum Formed or Thermo Formed), Caesar Stone or Reconstituted Stone, Granite, Stainless Steel, Painted 2 Pak - sometimes known as Emporite (Polyurethane) and Solid Timber, all with an unlimited range of colours, cabinet configurations, handles and special features.
Other points that need to be addressed include: flooring, lighting, painting and plaster works. You will also need a plumber and an electrician to disconnect existing appliances prior to your new installation and then return to reconnect new appliances. Of course you can deal with your own trades people or allow Romandini Cabinets to project manage your renovation by organising and overseeing qualified and certified trades that may be required.
